Ebola’s Lounge and Buffet filed Chapter 11 papers early today in order to seek protection from creditors. Owner Abe Ebola, who owned the popular bar and restaurant for 27 years, cited a long-term slump of loyal customer support and the failure of promotional material to lure new customers.

‘Our marketing people failed us,’ Says Abe Ebola CEO of the company who is faced with laying off over 35 employees this week.

Employees noticed a drastic drop in luncheon customers who often took clients for their world-famous ‘brat ‘n beer buffet. In the past, Ebola Stew was a popular fare with locals who hoped to ward off winter’s chill with a heaping bowl of boiled cabbage and carrots.

Ebola also thought the company logo probably ‘sunk his product’ as well. On the street viewed sign, the words ‘Get It At Ebola’s’ probably turned alot of patrons off and was the final ‘nail in the coffin’ for the 27 year old business.

Abe Ebola was also involved in other failed companies when his development company lost $1 million dollars on a failed planned retirement community venture in rural Tennessee. The Mansions on Shits Creek failed to sell a single multi-million dollar home and was forced into bankruptcy in 2013 and his Hiroshima Charcoal Briquett Company folded in 2010 after failing to sell one bag of the glow-in-the-dark charcoal briquettes.

Ebola looked upon his recent failures with a positive and upbeat outlook by saying, “It was a good run while it lasted.” The 57 year old Ebola plans to spend more time writting ‘spoof news articles’ and brushing up on his child pornography collection he diligently downloads from online.

Good one! What a shame. Sounds like the guy felt like his restaurant had been quarantined the way customers were avoiding it like the plaque.
