Live from New York City…. (SatireWorld.com)A baseball player from the Dominican Republic has been overlooked (again) for admission into the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. Chico Escuala, a former member of the New York Mets, once again failed to receive the required 75% of the votes.
In fact, of the 573 votes cast, Escuela didn’t appear to have been selected by any of the voters. Only Barry Larkin received a sufficient number of votes this year to enter the Hall of Fame.
Chico became even more famous after his career as an NBC Sports commentator on SNL’s Weekend Update.
In an interview, Chico was asked about the ability to use sports as a springboard to leave the poverty of his island nation. He responded by saying “Baseball been berra berra good to me.”
When asked how he felt about his New York Mets career, Escuela said “Baseball been berra berra good to me!”
When asked how he felt about his later career as an announcer and commentator with NBC, Escuela said “Baseball been berra berra good to me.”
Finally, we asked Chico how he felt about being ignored for admission into the Hall of Fame by not receiving a single vote from any of the 573 voters. Chico Escuela responded by saying “Those pendejos can kiss my black fundillo. They are all sons of putas! Pinche hueros!”
