Washington, DC – (

According to the House Committee on Natural Resources, the Obama administration has taken the unusual step of shutting down only the most popular tourist memorials in the nation’s capital, including the World War II Memorial, the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, and the National Mall.

Other, lesser-visited sites, have been left open. “The Obama Administration is applying this policy inconsistently and choosing which memorials to block off and which to keep open. While these popular monuments remain barricaded, other U.S. Park properties such as the Constitutional Gardens and Japanese Americans Memorial remain completely open,” the Committee said in a press release.

House Natural Resources Committee Chairman Doc Hastings stated, “It appears as though only the highly visible monuments and areas are being closed to the public – further proof that the Obama Administration is only playing politics and purposely choosing to make this shut down as painful as possible. Their actions are shameful and wrong.”

A recent gathering of WW II veterans who bussed in from Kansas, had to break through barricades in order to visit the World War Two memorial in Washington DC. The memorial was built and is maintained by private donations, but was shuttered by the Administration immediately on Monday morning.

According WW II veteran Bill Samuels, age 91, who stood at attention and saluted the flag wearing his WW II Marine cap, “It seems Obama has a war on us veterans. Dagnabbitt, we traveled all this way and were treated like second-class citizens.”

Another veteran, wheel chair bound Amos Buttwater, age 89, who was in the US Navy in the Pacific during the war said, “I recently visited Okinawa to see my grandson who’s in the Marines. I was treated better there by the Japanese than here in my nation’s capitol!”

The National Park Service erected barricades to shut down parking lots surrounding Mount Vernon despite the fact that the tourist destination is privately owned, another example of how the feds are deliberately worsening the government shut down.

The Obama Administration is attempting to shore up support with the almost 800,000 furloughed federal workers who have borne the brunt of Obama’s endless hubris over the Debt Ceiling fight with Congress. His refusal to negotiate, and the no retreat attitude by his Administration and its supporters in the Democratically controlled Senate has many federal workers concerned over a speedy end to the impass.

EDITOR’S NOTE: Obama has no shame and the ego of this man is without equal in today’s politics.

….no matter your politics there has been NO ONE in the oval office that has been shown to be more anti-american, anti this country’s values, and more mean spirited and partisan thqn the one carrying on
“Chicago Politics’: extortion, blackmail, smearing, back room deals,
    bribery and libelous acts…

…not to mention petty schooll yard bullying…lookno further than the
“expert advisors’ he’s surrounded himself with…former Chicago power brokers steeped in self promotion, unjust enrichment, and only concerned with advancing their own agenda and power…

..argue all you want about the documentation of Obama, he has proven to be the most UNAMERICAN person to sit in the oval office…
no wonder with his parentage and socialisst and muslim studies during his youth…from DOPE FIEND to Sociopath in office…swept into office because the ‘majority’ of ‘voters’ don’t have a clue, or quite frankly
give a S**** as long as the gravy train of entitlements keep rolling…

    Amnesty anyone????

The USA will survive Barack Hussein Obama and he will take his ignominious place in the “dustbin of history”, as the Brits say!
