Liberal MSNBC, radio host, and part-time caveman, Ed Schultz was paid approximately $177,000 by labor unions in 2012, Truth Revolt reported, citing data available on the Department of Labor’s website.
Schultz, a longtime supporter of organized labor, has so far received roughly $75,000 from the AFL-CIO for 2013.
All union payments are listed on the Department of Labor’s website as either “political,” “union” or “representational.”
Considering the amount of time Schultz spends on both his radio and cable show praising organized labor and labor leaders, the thousands of dollars given to the media personality would seem to raise questions regarding a possible conflict of interest. (ya think?)
MSNBC spokeswoman Lauren Skowronski said in a statement to Politico that the posted payments were for advertisements on Schultz’s radio show, his website and for various speaking engagements.
Skowronski said payments from speaking engagements are donated to charity, as per company policy.
“Independent from MSNBC, Ed’s radio show and website sell advertising to a variety of clients – both union and non-union,” Skowronski said. “Also as previously noted, Ed has donated the honorarium from speaking engagements to charity.”
A spokesperson for MSNBC did not respond for comment as they were preparing a pro-Obamacare show for Ed, but Schultz’s spokesperson said that the money was actually ‘reverse union dues’, a new concept that MSNBC is trying out to bring other nitwit liberal broadcasters into the fold.
