It was bound to happen sooner or later as frustrated writers from across the globe sought more amicable pastures to ply their trade craft without the drama and behind the scenes manipulation that has caused so much grief for so many. Leaving a faltering website that promised much, but in recent years gave little, many of the most talented spoof writers in the world are now part of SatireWorld.com.
Burdened with increased paranoia and bitter resentment that an up and coming website such as this SatireWorld.com is doubling readership each quarter, regular clique members on the Spoof.com have resorted to verbal abuses and outright banning of longtime members in order to achieve what many are calling a ‘mysterious goal of total control and alienation by a few.’
Members who once wrote thousands of funny and well-written stories have left voluntarily or were banned without explanation in a fit of silent fury. Now, these forlorn and formerly oppressed artists have found a new home where artistic freedom reigns without censorship or heavy-handed manipulation by the editorial staff, or by a dreaded site-favorited clique somehow left in control.
A recent survey of readers found that SatireWorld has more creative featured stories, a clever tongue-in-cheek format that parodies news, politics, current events, and celebrities, instead of mind numbing nonsense about some backward town in an otherwise boring part of England that’s been over-played for months by just a few ruling writers.
