President Barack Obama, opened a three day swing through the heartland with a visit to the Fi Cannabis Society, a marijuana advocacy group, in downtown Normal, Il.

The ex-Senator from Illinois offered his own views on drugs and pot use, including his own history of trying the illicit drug once, in order to properly evaluate its potential and use.

When nudged by his friend and bong expert, Bill Ayers, the President reiterated his stance on illegal drugs being legalized as reporters hurriedly scrambled to turn on recorders and swing cameras toward the podium. "My position is this: Drugs are good for America and at no juncture in the Constitution does it say that pot CANNOT be smoked, or that it's illegal!"

Justice Department officials immediately released an order barring future prosecutions for pot related offenses, which is really a de-facto legalization of the once illicit weed.

When asked about his position on hemp farming, the President added, "Hemp? Oh yes! We need more hemp farming in America and my administration will do it's best to allow the cultivation of hemp…anywhere!"

When queried about his own use of the illicit weed, Obama remarked, "Oh yes. I tried marijuana only once though, I didn't like the stuff. The darn stuff kept plugging up the needle”
