As two fully equipted US naval carrier task forces close on the Straits of Hormuz, the Iranian Navy announced it’s launched its first aircraft carrier and promises to strike a bloody blow if intimidated by US naval forces.
The shift in the powerful US naval assets comes at a moment of heightened tensions with Iran, which has threatened to close the Strait of Hormuz…the world’s most important oilshipping lane…if US and EU sanctions over its nuclear program cut off its oil exports.
US Navy experts seemed surprised at the Iranian response and shed light on the Iranian carrier al Shahib’s capabilities…”With only one 35 year old F-14 we expect little problems.”
Iranian Admiral Faz Jackabooti says his forces will smash the imperialist navy with a crushing blow and will fight to it’s last man if attacked.
