The Kennedy Legacy: You Pay for The Gift that Keeps on Giving, And Giving, And Giving!

As each one of the far flung Kennedy Dynasty passed on, they left a legacy of taxpayer funded shrines that insured a perpetual annuity for survivors, as well as for rabid camp followers that now live pretty high on ‘honorary’ positions for the ‘Non Profits.”

The prolific Kennedy’s, said to have as many off shoots and genetic mutants as the ghost of Barack Obama Senior, will probably never be fully known thanks to Vatican coverups, and the redaction of Herbert Hoover’s most private and secret files.

But just as one thought he knew it all, yet another Kennedy Memorial Cash Cow surfaced today in where else, Boston, Massachusetts.

This one was for the under the radar “Rose Kennedy Green Belt” a memorial for the long suffering matriarch of the Kennedy family, probably named out of sympathy for having to put up with her husband’s philandering and suffering in silence for decades.

The ‘Greenway” was built on the scar of what remains after the multi-billion dollar boondoggle of the aptly named ” Big Dig” in Boston, a ‘shovel ready’ scam of such magnitude that only democrats in Massachusetts could have survived such a scandal of cost over runs, inferior concrete, a tunnel that leaks and commuter deaths caused by falling tons of ceiling tiles as they traveled through it.

In a token ‘investigation’ as the project ran on like a run away train, investigators found that no one could be held accountable, as everyone denied being involved, and those left behind couldn’t find any ‘paper work’ proving he project even existed! The tunnel,and the investigation, named after famous Boston Red Sox slugger Ted Williams, has now faced the same fate as Ted, left as a headless corpse handing upside down in a freezing meat locker until someday a retired Harvard graduate in a Kennedy funded think tank decides he’s found a way to miraculously bring them both back to life.

The Greenway was supposed to be funded entirely by private donations, but is often the case when honoring the Kennedy Dead, something strange happened along the way. It turns out now that $15m of Mass taxpayer funds have been allocated to the project, and more than half of last years almost $5M budget came from public funds…and the project is less than half completed!

The director of the Greenway, a Nancy Brennan, has been reluctant to report her salary, which turns out to be $180,000 a year, not including the $25K a year bonus she’s been raking in, since after all this really is a “non profit” corporation, don’t you know.

The 15 acre site now requires $300K a year to maintain, while New York’s Central Park requires $53K a year for the same mowing, weeding, and picking up after OWS protestors…who knew the cost of mulching was so much higher in Boston?

But let’s move on to the JFK Center for Human Rights, where suddenly prominent Kerry Kennedy, the well paid professional do-gooder is the founder and president of the ‘non profit’ at a salary of $225,239 a year. Not bad for a world traveler who spends most of her time tramping through the backwaters of third world nations looking to head up class action suits worth millions to her and the law firm she’s associated. Consider her the “John Edwards” of television class action suits and you can reach her at 1-800-Kennedy if any of your Romanian cousins haven’t been heard from since they boarded the Costa Concordia illegally on January 13.

And lest we forget, the Ted Kennedy Monument, proposed by John Kerry and others, to be built next to the JFK Library on the UMass campus. UMass, where the brother of Whitey Bulger, Billy Bulger, was awarded the Presidency after 35 years in the legislature, 17 as President. It was a gift for being the only presiding democratic who was not convicted and sent to jail in recent memory. Pundits have theorized that Billy’s family connections had even the State Police scared to death to dig into his many smoke filled back room deals…and forget about the FBI, who Whitey had in his back pocket.

Billy, who refused to testify about the whereabouts of his serial killer brother, was eventually forced to step down by then governor Mitt Romney, but not without a pension in excess of $200K a year, including a housing allowance.

Back to Teddy, where Kerry is touting the $68M monument and has earmarked to date well over $28.9M from the defense budget alone for the ground breaking. Saying the armed forces should be paying for a Ted Kennedy shrine is like demanding that “Mother’s Against Drunk Driving”, (MADD) should be contributing their fair share.

No wonder Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton looked up to the Kennedy family; they led the way in establishing ‘non profits’ at the expense of the American Taxpayer, and just like the Kennedy’s
the ‘gifts’ just keep coming.

Obama chief ‘aide’, Valerie Jarrett, the premier student of the Chicago Way, when contacted for comment about this story chuckled and said, “Honey…you ain’t seen nottin’ yet…just wait till
Bam gets done..we done got a whole list of shovel ready monuments on the drawin’ board jist waiting for Nancy and Harry to fund ‘em.’

As one white house wag commented, “I just can’t wait to see the Obama Library with the Honorary Barney Frank Executive men’s room with the bidet, gold faucets, steam room, and hot tub. Priceless!
