Disgraced ex-congressman Anthony Weiner has increased the size of his staff in preparation for his run for mayor of New York City.
Two sources said that they couldn’t tell SatireWorld the staffer’s name or what position he/she will assume under the former Congressman.
The revelation follows weeks of speculation that Weiner is seeking a redemptive run for New York City’s mayor’s office. Speculation has raged that he has been looking for potential aides and staffers. Although Weiner’s pollster, Peter Priapus, has been hired by New York City Council speaker Christine Quinn who reportedly is seeking advice on entering the mayoral race, Weiner’s ad man, Dick Hertz, is still available for a position in the potential run.
Hertz successfully blamed the 2012 online photo scandal on the late Arnold Horshack, a Weiner look-a-like who once starred on TV’s ‘Welcome Back Kotter.’ Hertz on numerous occasions has stated he didn’t think Weiner’s running for mayor would be too hard on him to bring to a successful climax.
There isn’t much time left for Weiner to decide, because petitioning for listing on the NYC ballot begins in early June. In order to obtain the necessary number of signatures, he’ll need a larger staff than the one he has now. However, it seems Weiner’s position is hardening as the competition gets stiffer.
