Most Innocents Killed In US From A Firearm Massacre Wasn’t Orlando

Self explanatory don’t you think?

South Dakota – (

Recently, a terrorist attack on an Orlando Florida gay bar has been billed in the media as the worst firearm massacre in American history. That isn’t quite true once you check on historical facts.
December 29, 2015 marked the 125th Anniversary of the murder of 297 innocent Sioux Indians at Wounded Knee Creek on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota.

These 297 people, in their winter camp, were murdered by federal agents and members of the 7th Cavalry who had come to confiscate their firearms “for their own safety and protection”. The slaughter began after the majority of the Sioux had peacefully turned in their firearms.

The Calvary began shooting, and managed to wipe out the entire camp. 200 of the 297 victims were women and children. About 40 members of the 7th Cavalry were killed, but over half of them were victims of fratricide from the Hotchkiss guns of their overzealous comrades-in-arms. Twenty members of the 7th Cavalry’s death squad, were deemed “National Heroes” and were awarded the Medal of Honor for their acts of [cowardice] heroism.

We hear very little of Wounded Knee today. It is usually not mentioned in our history classes or books. What little that does exist about Wounded Knee is normally a sanitized “Official Government Explanation”. And there are several historically inaccurate depictions of the events leading up to the massacre, which appear in movie scripts and are not the least bit representative of the actual events that took place that day.

Wounded Knee was among the first federally backed gun confiscation attempts in United States history. It ended in the senseless murder of 297 people.

Before you jump on the emotionally charged bandwagon for gun-control, take a moment to reflect on the real purpose of the Second Amendment, the right of the people to take up arms in defense of themselves, their families, and property in the face of invading armies or an oppressive government. The argument that the Second Amendment only applies to hunting and target shooting is asinine. When the United States Constitution was drafted, “hunting” was an everyday chore carried out by men and women to put meat on the table each night, and “target shooting” was an unheard of concept. Musket balls were a precious commodity and were certainly not wasted on “target shooting”. The Second Amendment was written by people who fled oppressive and tyrannical regimes in Europe, and it refers to the right of American citizens to be armed for defensive purposes, should such tyranny arise in the United States.

Before any American citizen blindly accepts whatever new firearms legislation that is about to be doled out, they should stop and think about something for just one minute- Evil does exist in our world. It always has and always will. Throughout history evil people have committed evil acts. In the Bible one of the first stories is that of Cain killing Abel. We cannot legislate “evil” into extinction. Good people will abide by the law, and the criminal element will always find a way around it.

Evil exists all around us, but looking back at the historical record of the past 200 years, across the globe, where is “evil” and “malevolence” most often found? In the hands of those with the power, the governments. That greatest human tragedies on record and the largest loss of innocent human life can be attributed to governments. Who do the governments always target? “Scapegoats” and “enemies” within their own borders…but only after they have been disarmed to the point where they are no longer a threat.

Ask any Native American, and they will tell you it was inferior technology and lack of arms that contributed to their demise.

Ask any Armenian why it was so easy for the Turks to exterminate millions of them, and they will answer “We were disarmed before it happened”.

Ask any Jew what Hitler’s first step prior to the mass murders of the Holocaust was- confiscation of firearms from the people.

Now, look at today where certain people in political power harp on about ‘more gun control’ while ISIS has infiltrated our country and has started random killings. Who in their right mind would surrender their only means of protection because so some ass-hat with 24/7 secret service protection thinks it will make us all safer?

Wounded Knee is a prime example of why the Second Amendment exists, and why we should vehemently resist any attempts to infringe on our Rights to Bear Arms. Without the Second Amendment we will be totally stripped of any ability to defend ourselves and our families.

Remember…Your God given right to own and carry a firearm for self protection isn’t given to you by the Constitution, but is guaranteed and protected by the Constitution. Think before you gamble away a right banking the government to do the right thing. Once its gone it’s gone!

Members of my mother’s family died at Wounded Knee in the attack you have described so well. And I am an avid supporter of the Second Amendment through bitter personal experience of being unarmed during the various times my family and I have come under lethal attack from armed-to-the-hilt criminals.
However when the Second Amendment was originaly published there were no military grade AR-15-type assault rifles – or other semi automatics – available to civilians or anyone else. I seriously doubt that the original spirit of the Constitution ever envisaged tooling up the American public with such destructive military-grade weapons for individual personal defense.
America continues to enjoy the protection and certainty that the Second Amendment affords its citizens.
But that is no comfort to the thousands who have lost loved ones in mass shootings such as this one in Orlando or elsewhere like San Bernardino most recently.
Unlike all those Americans who enjoy the full protection of Second Amendment rights the bereaved in mass shootings have no rights to demand the removal of military trade semi automatic weapons from mainstream home defense responsible for the carnage.
I believe a tipping point may now have been reached.
    God help America.

The Left’s not-so-secret agenda to eradicate our nation through open borders and internal disarmament is in real trouble after a known radicalized Islamist, with a connection to a fellow Floridian suicide bomber, whose own father broadcast a radio show supporting the Taliban, who was given security clearances and weapons licenses to work on DHS contracts, claimed allegiance to ISIS while methodically slaughtering 50 innocent Americans in a Orlando gay bar…I doubt any gun control efforts will pan out for the Left after they’ve acknowledged that they support allowing unvetted Islamic immigrants easy ‘humanitarian’ resettlement in the US. Especially as unpopular as it is right now with both mainstream Republicans and Democrats who question the current Administration’s efforts to keep them and their families safe.

As an advocate for the bereaved from the many US mass shootings involving military grade semi automatic weapons I say their feelings of powerlessness over arms proliferation is a bipartisan issue that won’t go away – never mind which crazed 2nd Amendment-toting shooter pulls the next trigger on his perfectly legitimate AR-15.

“Military Grade” is the latest buzzword used by the left to demonize gun owners. These hate-filled totalitarians want to disarm their enemies, and will resort to any tactic, to include secret arms trafficking to Mexico, to achieve their goal of dominating all who oppose them.

‘Hate-filled totalitarians’ – such as the bereaved mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, spouses, grandparents and inlaws of massacre victims in Orlando, San Bernardino, Sandy Hook etc etc.

Belittling the bereaved such a grown up thing to do.

Family of AR-15 Inventor Eugene Stoner: He Didn’t Intend It for Civilians

“Our father, Eugene Stoner, designed the AR-15 and subsequent M-16 as a military weapon to give our soldiers an advantage over the AK-47,” the Stoner family told NBC News late Wednesday. “He died long before any mass shootings occurred. But, we do think he would have been horrified and sickened as anyone, if not more by these events.”

The ex-Marine and “avid sportsman, hunter and skeet shooter” never used his invention for sport. He also never kept it around the house for personal defense. In fact, he never even owned one.

And though he made millions from the design, his family said it was all from military sales.
